Race Results

Wayne, PA: The second half of the USATF Mid-Atlantic Grand Prix series kicked off with The Main Line 5k on Sunday morning. Participants were treated to substantially cooler temperatures and light to steady rain. This was the race's first year on the Grand Prix circuit and the organizers did a nice job hosting.

Josh Hibbs, Chris Mateer, and Steve Hallman set the pace from the start. The trio worked together for the majority of the race before battling for position over the last mile (with the exception of Steve who claimed to start his kick from mile 2). Josh won the push up the last hill into the finish with Chris and Steve following. Kevin Brandon kept the lead pack in sight throughout the race and finished just under 16 minutes, good for 4th place. Max Krall claimed 7th with a strong 17:13 keeping all PRTC finishers within the top 10.

Christine Ramsey won the women's division in 18:11. She is gearing up for the Rock 'N' Roll Half next weekend before her goal race of the Hartford Marathon. Kaitlin Frei impressed in her debut for PRTC. She placed 2nd female. Kaitlin joins PRTC from Notre Dame. Welcome Kaitlin, we're excited to have you on board! Abigail Cember didn't let the rain stop her as her planned race (Kennet Square Mushroom Run) was canceled due to inclement weather. We're glad she was able to join us at the last minute as she performed well and placed 5th female. Nice job all!

The plan was to best Bryn Mawr in a head to head showdown, but they did not send a team. Instead, Paul, Chris, and Tommy had to settle for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. Nice job guys!
