Race Results

State College, PA: Chris Hatler returned with great success to one of his favorite events, the mile, at the Penn State National Open. He won his race in 4:05.22. The finish was incredibly tight as he out-leaned Nick Wareham of Georgetown by 0.01 seconds. Chris' time was good for first overall at the meet and set a new PRTC Club Record which was previously held by Brian Gallagher at 4:12 since 2003. Congrats, Chris!

Boston, MA: Dylan Gearinger similarly impressed on the indoor circuit. Sporting a PRTC singlet for the first time, he placed 6th in the 3k at the Boston University Terrier Classic. Dylan took a huge 17 seconds off of his previous best time, qualified for USATF Indoor Championships, and set a new PRTC record! His 7:59.74 (!!!) replaces Ryan Fennelly's 7:59.88 which he ran in 2009, also at Boston University. Congrats, Dylan and welcome to the club!

PRTC In the News

The club managed to make the news twice this week:

We were featured in Billy Penn with the article, "This elite Philly running club fields Olympic qualifiers - but anyone is welcome to join.

And Paul Matuszak shared a week in his life with Philly Mag resulting in, "This Marathon-Running Dad Eats 7 Times a Day to Fuel His Intense Training Schedule."

Let us know if you have an idea for PRTC to get some press. The Philly Magazine lifestyle profile is an ongoing series. We'd love to see more of our athletes featured!
