PRTC Weekly: 06/18/2018 (The Digital Age and More)
PRTC Enters the Digital Age
Exciting news for our millennial readers! A checkbook is no longer required to join PRTC. We've created a RunSignUp page to process memberships. If you've been meaning to join the club, but have had trouble locating a check, now is the time to sign up. Register here!
PRTC is also now able to accept online donations. We've grown to over 60 members and would like to offer everyone as much support as possible. We're especially interested in putting together a fast men and women's team at Club XC Nationals. The event is in Spokane, Washington this year. Travel to the race will require more money than ordinary. Additional goals include supporting our runners who are chasing Olympic Trials qualifying times. We have a great group headed out to the Chicago Marathon as well as other distant locations. We'll also take a look at hosting a year-end party.
So... if anyone feels they've gotten a bargain with our low membership fee, feel free to pitch in a bit more! Market research tells us equivalent groups in Boston ask $90/year and do not include USATF memberships.
Alternatively, send us your fundraising ideas or forward this message to your favorite running fanatic/wealthy benefactor. We're looking forward to competing against top clubs from around the country. Any level of support helps. Make your tax deductible donation here!
Race Report
For the first time in several weeks we have no reported races! We hope everyone enjoyed Father's Day Weekend. Our Tuesday evening workouts and Sunday morning long runs have been going quite well. We've had men and women's groups of all paces. As always, we invite all members to join us for these runs.
Also - don't be shy. Send us a message if you've run a race that's off our radar. We love showcasing results!
Parks on Tap
Parks on Tap is scheduled to head to the always busy Schuylkill Banks this week. Not spending enough time on the river trail already? This is the perfect opportunity to log a few more hours. Keep an eye on our social email list for more details about groups attending. We encourage everyone to sign up for this list if interested in our social outings.
