PRTC Weekly: 03/04/2019 (Road to Gold and More)
Race Results
Atlanta, GA: PRTC sent two of our own to preview the 2020 Olympic Trials course at the Road to Gold 8 Mile in Atlanta. They each performed very well among the invitation-only field.
Colin Leak finished an impressive 5th overall (one spot before his brother, Greg). He completed the race in 38:48 (4:44/mile pace) feeling, "Healthy, happy, and ready for the next race!."
Matt Herzig similarly performed well. His 39:36 (4:50/mile pace) earned 13th. We're very excited to see these two (and more!) return in a year to take on the full course! Nice job! Read more about the race here.

Fort Myers, FL: Joe Foley won the inaugural City of Palms Half Marathon in sunny Florida. His time of 1:18:19 saw him first across the finish line by nearly 30 seconds. Joe also managed to score some local press in the story, "Runners get a kick out of inaugural City of Palms Half Marathon." He even gave PRTC a shout-out! Great race and congrats on the win!

Fort Myers, FL: Sam Roecker had similar thoughts to Joe and wisely escaped Philly in favor of Fort Myers. She selected the Sunday morning race in Fort Myers: The Lazy Flamingo Half Marathon. Her 1:25:10 also earned a first place finish (which included an accidental extra half mile!).
