PRTC Bi-Weekly 10/17/2022: Paul Short, Delaware 15k, and Even More Marathons

Race Results

Paul Short 8k

XC season kicked off in earnest at biggest meet on the east coast, Paul Short. The open race welcomed back open runners for the first time since 2019 and PRTC sent up a contingent of 9 men. Temperatures were cool and the course was bone dry, leading to the fastest times the course has ever seen.

Zach Michon led the way, winning the race by 6 seconds in a time of 23:47. He was followed by a tight pack as PRTC's 2-6 runners crossed the line within 22 seconds of each other. Greg Morgan came in 10th (24:26, PR), David Dorsey in 14th (24:30, PR), Liam Galligan in 18th (24:32), Frank Livosi in 29th (24:44), and Paul Matuszak in 37th (24:48).

A tight pack of 3 rounded out PRTC's 9, as Jason Richwall came in in 76th (25:12), Nick Cardamone in 88th (25:17), and Chris Mateer in 92nd (25:19).

Catch most (if not all?) of this crew taking to the roads at the Rothman 8k which might be the only faster 8k on the east coast.
